Great sauce and flavor from the red cabbage!
This is a great tasting winter comfort food! The beef is cooked right and a hint of wine gives this great texture and flavor. The second time, I admit, I added sour cream to had a little more fat and also works well that way.
Some of the best beef bourguignon I've had! on par with our favorite local French restaurant. We will definitely be ordering this again!
Have taken the 8 hours to try & reproduce Julia Child's Classic recipe. For something I can defrost & heat up within 6-10 min, this is fantastic! Have had several times and love it. A bit dry when reheating leftovers, so I add a bit of beef or chicken stock to thin it out.
It was perfectly cooked! The beef was nice and tender, and plenty of it. I liked that it wasn't too salty. My only nit is that the onions were too large and thus a bit sharp to the bite. Seasoning and mushrooms were great!
This is one of my favorite eat local meals!
