This year our Kids' Summer Cooking Camps will be offered online. Streamed live from our Queen Anne Store, our Kids’ Cooking Camps are week-long day camps. For five days in the summer, kids will join 1.5-hour online sessions in the mornings or afternoons. Space is limited.
Age Group: 9-14 years old
Max Class Size: 10 students
Class Length: 1.5 hours (morning & afternoon sessions available) for five days
What’s Included: Registration fees cover the cost of ingredients and a qualified instructor. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request. Ingredient pick-up available on the Sunday prior to first day of camp at the Queen Anne store.
Our Kids’ Cooking Camps are a fun way to impart essential kitchen skills such as safe food and knife handling, chopping, sautéing, frying, blanching, seasoning, dough/pastry making, and baking. They can be taken independent of our Weekend Cooking Classes, or as the next step in your young chefs education. Our qualified instructors will help them develop the nutrition knowledge, foundational math, and science necessary for a successful home cook. We’ll also delve into globally-inspired recipes, seasonal ingredients, and food sustainability.
A Zoom account and a device for viewing online are required to participate. We will email all participants one week prior to the first day of camp with Zoom information and instructions for ingredient pick up.
Some parental supervision will be required as students will be cooking actively at home while following along with the instructor.
