To accommodate the dietary requirements of people experiencing dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), these texture-modified Performance Kitchen® meals have been blended into a rich, thick and flavorful puree. While these soft foods are perfect to ensure that people with difficulty chewing and/or swallowing still get the nutrition they need, the flavors are identical to our conventional meals, just in a slightly different format. The texture is reminiscent of blending a satisfying and savory stew until thick and smooth. Beyond meeting the same strict nutrient requirements of other Performance Kitchen® entrees, these meals are designed to meet the criteria proposed by the International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI) for level 4 (pureed or extremely thick).
