Low Carb Meal Delivery
In general, a low-carb diet reduces carbohydrates to less than 26 percent of your total calories or less than 130 grams per day. Keto is a specific type of low-carb diet that drastically cuts carbs--typically to under 50 grams per day. For comparison’s sake, the general recommendation is for Americans to get 45 to 65 percent of their calories from carbs.
Carbohydrates are a macronutrient, and they’re found in both healthful and less healthful foods. When you think of carbs, you might think of bread, pasta, and sugary treats, but carbs are also found in fruits, whole grains, starchy veggies, pulses (such as beans and legumes), and even milk and yogurt.
The maximum amount of carbohydrate in a meal in our low-carb bundle has 20 grams of carbohydrate, while the net carbs range from 10 to 19 grams. Net carbs are the number of digestible carbs, so it’s the number of total carbs minus the fiber, which is undigestible.
We’ve crafted these meals to be low in carbs and especially low in refined carbs, such as white flour and sugar. But they still contain at least a serving of veggies, such as peppers, cauliflower, and spaghetti squash. Some of the veggies replace the traditional starch, such as the cauliflower rice in our Carb-Wise Chimichurri Chicken and the spaghetti squash in our Carb-wise Spaghetti Squash & Meat Sauce. Our low-carb meals make living a low-carb lifestyle simple and delicious!
